live|work re-designs patient pathway for lymphatic cancer patients in Oslo 29.09.10
Kysthospitalet Hospital in Stavern, a small town just outside Oslo, provide lymphatic cancer patients from all over Norway with a specialised rehabilitation program. The R&D department and hospital staff continuously improve the rehabilitation program based on new research and empirical knowledge from the field. live|work was employed to help incorporate the user perspective in the hospital’s improvement process using a service design methodology.
As a result of co-design with patients and staff, Kysthospitalet has re-configured the patient pathway as a whole and improved the activities and material used during treatment. live|work has also introduced tools and service design methodology to the hospital’s R&D department that are now integrated in their continual improvement of rehabilitation programs for other patient groups.
