“A service economy presents an amazing opportunity to rethink how our world could and should work. And more importantly, the chance to make it happen.”
I’m passionate about this kind of opportunity. I grew up in the midst of radical change in 1990’s South Africa and worked in one of the first South African internet companies, moving to London during the heady dotcom years to work as a freelance photographer with a sideline in net art and publishing projects.
I was always amazed that as a photographer I was able to meet an MD in the morning and visit a factory floor in the afternoon. This led me to deepen my practice at Goldsmiths, leaving with a BA in Sociology in 2006 and an ambition to improve user experiences.
At live|work, I’m part of a team that I feel is uniquely balanced between the need to think and the need to do and inspired to play a part in this fundamental change to the way human beings organise their work and play.
